Happy Saturday

I love knowing that on Friday night, I can stay up later and the next morning I can sleep in or get up and make my husband a nice breakfast and enjoy a day to do whatever I want. Today I'm making Matt homemade pancakes- probably banana :), and his favorite scrambled eggs with mozzarella! We are the type of people that really just love our lazy Saturday relaxing.... ....Today is an exception though. We are going car shopping for Matt! This is especially exciting for me because I love love love cars! I like to look at them with no intention of buying them. For some reason it has always been fun for me. I really hope that Matt can work out a deal (he's the greatest at negotiating :)) He is a Volkswagen kinda guy and is really liking the new Tiguan. I just so happen to think that it's a pretty happening little SUV. :) I will keep you posted on our little-BIG shopping adventure! Until next time- Happy shopping to everyone on this great weekend! Quiet night. Fingers typing.

So this is my first blog, and I'm very excited about starting one.  My 2 sisters have both been blogging, and reading their daily blogs have inspired me to write my own.  I'm not so great at eloquent words, but I just want to share life.  A look into the daily things that all compile together to make life, well...LIFE :)

Today has been a quiet day at home.  Just a lot of time for me to think...

Life seems to bring the most interesting things your way...especially when you are least expecting them.  One thing that my husband and I have grown so close to know, is our sweet Jesus.  We have learned a lot of what it means to trust in His ways.  We have seen Him show up in our lives in the small little details, and even in the huge things!  I'm so happy to know that I don't have to worry about how it will all work out. I just have to focus on my trust in Him and He will complete the rest.  Rest...come to think of it...I really have to teach myself to rest in His promises and not in my worry.

This may feel like it hits so close to home for a lot of people, but its true!  Today I am reminded that my battles are nothing I will ever have to fight.  The Lord goes to fight for me.  He goes before me, with me, and ahead of me. Amen!

I am so excited to start this blog.  It's a nice way to put my thoughts into words.
